I was born in Essex in the mid 1960's. I lived with my Gt Aunt until I was 12. I don't think I realised as a child that all my relatives were "Cockneys". It wasn't until I started researching my family tree in 1994 that I discovered my East London heritage from my maternal side. Mainly dockworker's they lived and worked in the Poplar area but WW2 changed their lives forever and therefore mine. The rest is history . .
